Mr. Ashish Gupta
He is graduated from the Institute of Rural Management, Anand (IRMA) and has also attended a Program on ‘Strategic Leadership in Microfinance’ at Harvard Business School.
He has got varied experience in the field of microfinance and livelihoods promotion while working in different states, in varying organizational set-ups viz NGO, Government Project, Development Company, Microfinance Institutions, Consultancy set-ups, Self-promoted Enterprise, etc. He has been featured as one of the six Social Entrepreneurs in a book titled ‘Pursuit of Goodness’ by Mr. Vijayendra Haryal, an IITK and IIMA alumnus.
He was also the winner of the first nationwide ‘Social Entrepreneurship Search Competition - SRIJAN’, organised by Aavishkaar India and others. He had even completed the full cycle of winning concept i.e. conceptualization, promotion of the enterprise, growth & expansion, PE investment and finally exiting from the same. Apart from promoting and running an organization called ‘Jeevika Livelihoods Support Organisation’ based out of Jabalpur in MP, he has also co-promoted ‘SONATA Finance Private Limited’, a leading MFI in north India and a few other social and developmental organizations. He was also the founding CFO at ‘SV Creditline Private Limited’, another leading MFI of the north India. Apart from these institutions, he has also worked in Gram Vikas, BASIX and SERP.
